If you have a Windows computer that cannot discover a share on your network then its likely that iTunes is routing the sharing data over IPv6 instead of IPv4.
The fix is simple:
- Click the start button and type “networking and sharing” and click on “Network and Sharing Center“.
- Choose the network you are using which shows under “Connections“.
- Click the “Properties” button.
- If IPv6 is ticked then deselect it and click “OK” then press close.
When you restart iTunes then you should be able to connect to your shares.
